Every morning's workshop will take place on a rooftop overlooking the Blue Mosque, among sea gulls and the atmospheric call to Morning Prayer.

9:30-12:00 am
Over a breakfast of breads, yoghurts, cheeses and fruits, you’ll hear a short excerpt from a well-known Turkish writer. You will write exercises according to your individual needs. Questions of technique as well as individual current projects will be addressed. You may read your work if you wish.

12:30-2:00 pm Lunch
Special cafes and restaurants will be suggested.

2:00-4:00 pm
You will be assigned an exercise to write at a major site: The Blue Mosque, The Hagia Sophia, The Cistern, Topkapi or the Church at Chora. Writing will sharpen your senses and deepen the experience. Your time will be much more fun and enriching than if you were simply sightseeing.

4:00-8:00 pm
Time for museums, the hamman, riding across the Bosporus, shopping at the Grand Bazaar, going to the spice market, sitting in a trendy café in Beyoglu or drinking tea in a tea garden.

8:00 pm Dinner
Delightful options will be suggested, including typical and simple Turkish restaurants and those featuring traditional music.
